The Crave Bar Karachi

Review of The Crave Bar Dessert- A dessert shop in DHA, Karachi

On the left, stecco in lotus flavour. On the right, Pizookie

Have you ever had a craving for ice-cream that needed to be satisfied immediately? Asking this because I suffer from such cravings every now and then. I am a fan of cold desserts/ ice-cream and sundaes. As someone who has a sweet tooth, I’ve toured and tried almost every great dessert shop in Karachi.

Just the other day I and hubby set out for The Crave Bar, which is a small dessert shop in DHA, Karachi. They serve amazing gelato, sundae, cake jars and funnel cakes topped with yummy ice-cream.

Our go- to flavours for ice-cream at The Crave Bar Karachi are lotus and chocolate fudge. As a big fan of strawberry cheese cake gelato, I did not find this flavour up to the mark at crave bar. Furthermore, our latest visit to crave bar some what let us down, as the shop was out of a couple of our favourite ice cream flavours. Anyway, we still managed to get our hands over prepackaged ” Steccos” in lotus flavour. These were totally drool-worthy and satisfied our ice-cream craving.

Chocolate Ice Cream Cake

Today it was ice cream cake. To be specific, a chocolate ice cream cake. Ummm…ignore that I mentioned chocolate. It doesn’t matter if the cake was chocolate(And also ignore the fact that most desserts I make have some sort of chocolate in them). In fact I should just strike out the past few lines. Anyway bloggy friends I made(and ate) this cake today! And obviously chocolate cake plus chocolate ice cream, topped with chocolate ganache, and decorated with white chocolate…..it was aww–weee-sommee! Sighs. I just love chocolate. Love however(due to excessive use) has become a very cliched word. So I checked out the synonyms for love.  A few I found out were fondness/tenderness/ warmth/ intimacy/attachment/endearment. I feel all this for chocolate and more!!

We are all  beginners, and even though this is an easy recipe people may have questions. Any and all questions are welcome. Particularly if you’re my sister who is not really interested in cooking but will make the ice cream cake any time(Or so she says)  🙂

Hugs and Love,

(And yeah we’re eating this in winters :O)  Not very sensible, eh?)

Mocha Frappe with Chocolate Ice Cream!

Lately, whenever I chat up with a fellow blogger, it seems that they’re just worried about one thing….”Did a mouse eat up Zemanta?”. That may not be the precise worry,it has variations.  Hope this answers your question!…………

This is an official notice from wordpress:(Copy Pasted)

On January 2nd, 2014 we’re removing our third-party integration with Zemanta, which added some tools like a manual related content tool, and suggestions for tags and images. We’re working on improving our editor to incorporate some of this functionality natively within WordPress.com. Some features, like related posts, are already there and better than the Zemanta-created version, in our opinion and testing.

In the meantime, we encourage you to use our own Related Posts feature, and for images, check out our list of websites that provide free images, videos, books, and other content for your blogs.

What I say people is that don’t worry about Zemanta-Wordpress equation. Just Chill and Make the Mocha Frappe and insert a scoop of chocolate ice-cream! I mean when you have this,do you really(Ask your self again) REALLY need to bother yourself with boring stuff like the zemanta-wordpress relationship??? Chill guys! Chill with a few ice cubes!  🙂 🙂

Kulfi: Frozen Milky Cardamom Dessert

Hello bloggy friends…..Hope everyone is fantastic and doing well. Taking a little extra care during winters, and not getting ill(Like I did). At the beginning of 2014, I decided that I am going to try out some of my mum’s recipes. She’s a fantastic cook. And best of all, she cooks with love. Love does makes things a thousand times more delicious. She used to make kulfis, or Frozen Milky Cardamom dessert for us a lot when we were kids. Now, she doesn’t have a lot of time to do such things, and it has been almost  three months since I last saw a kulfi. Yesterday I was craving it so much. It isn’t just your average ice cream,it has its own distinctive crunchy and dry-fruity taste. Needless to say, I satisfied my craving by taking over the kitchen! Here’s a peep into what I did.
